Not much to write lately because, with the summer hiatus, there's nothing on TV. (Exception: Pirate Master!) Basic cable is starting to pick up the slack. Sci Fi has two returning shows coming up: tonight is Doctor Who, Tuesday is Eureka. Monk and Psych are returning to USA next week. Damages, with Glenn Close, is coming to fX at the end of the month. It looks like it's going to be awesome, but you know it's going to suck.
I watched another new show, Burn Notice (USA), about which I'm very confused.
1. It's called Burn Notice. I think that a burn notice is how, if you're a spy, you find out you're fired. I'm not sure, though, because we just jumped into the action with a little bit of (read: "too much") voiceover narration from star Jeffrey Donovan.
2. Gabrielle Anwar has returned from wherever it is that she was exiled to after Life with Mikey. I don't know how I feel about this. I thought she kind of sucked back when she was famous, but I kind of liked her in this. She looks really different and I can't figure out how, except her abs are terrifying.
3. Sharon Gless reminds me of Jenny's mother, a little bit, if Jenny's mother had frosted hair.
4. Gabrielle Anwar was in For Love or Money, not Life with Mikey. Really?
