I liked Veronica Mars this week. I know my opinion doesn't count that much, since I just started watching at the end of the second season, but I still liked this mystery better than the wtf-is-going-on bus over the cliff mystery.

I never really bought the end of last season, where she had that Shazam moment looking at the picture of Beaver. It seemed like a big jump, for me, and it just didn't really make sense.

The rape thing made a lot more sense. The only thing I didn't like was when they first found out Mercer had a radio show, and it was like "oh then he couldn't possibly do it." But that seems to happen all the time -- if anyone has anything resembling an alibi, then they just totally buy it and move on to the next suspect.

I liked how the next mystery started up right away, too. Also, everything is somewhat interconnected, which is nice. There's the rape thing that is kinda related to the frat houses, and then the president gets killed, which might have something to do with the frat vote, or maybe its his wife. Either way, I'm ready for the rest of the season.

Finally, the scenes where she was confronting Mercer and what's his name were well done, and fairly tense. I thought it was a little bit unbelievable when she found out that the cup belonged to the little sister, and then that girl said "Do you think she's ok"?, and Veronica just ran off. Couldn't she say, "No, I think she's being raped, come with me (or call the cops, or both)." But then again, we just had the whole Logan-wants-to-help-but-she-does-everything-alone subplot, so I guess that was there just to explain this action.

Anyway, you can go back to talking about the OC.

I think that Gilmore this year is good too. Not exactly the same, but good. Last season was pretty awful and that was still ASP and co. This year they seem truer to the characters. I am glad Anna is getting hers! It is fine to leave April with Luke when it helps her out but is stunned and refuses to let Luke see her after they move??
