I feel like we need to start a movement to name today, June 28, a national holiday -- National Schadenfreude Day -- to commemorate the very public firing of Star Jones Reynolds from The View.
I actually missed the whole drama. I was trying to find a way to blame this on the flash flooding around here, but really it was a combination of laziness and poor planning. We knew that Star's departure was going to be announced this week and yet we didn't think to set the VCR. In our defense, we did not know how good it was going to be. Jenny saw the latest -- about 10 minutes ago, Barbara Walters came on to announce that Star has been a total asshole about the whole thing and consequently won't be serving out the remainder of her contract. I've got my blogging pants on now, though, and will be spending the remainder of the day trolling YouTube for clips. -- Peter
