Hi Jenny --
Did you watch last night's Project Runway yet? If not, why not? I have a few things I want to talk to you about and I'm not promising that somewhere in this post, I'm not going to reveal the ending. So, do with that what you will.
Topic 1. Is this season as good as last season? This is kind of an obvious topic but I think it's interesting how persistent it is. Nearly every conversation I have about the show this season ends up being, to some extent at least, a debate on the merits of the show, in relation to last season. Actually, what we're mostly talking about is this season's designers vs last season's. For me, this is not just about whether or not there's anyone as fascinating as Jay McCarroll and Austin Scarlett (Nope.), but whether or not this year's designers respond to the challenges, to Tim and to each other the way the first season's did. With a few exceptions, last season's designers were the least reality-show-y reality show contestants ever. They collaborated with each other on projects even when they didn't have to. They almost never talked to the camera about "the game." Overall, they were a refreshingly non-venal bunch. I think that while this season's designers fail the former test, they generally pass the latter.
Topic 2. Should Andrae have been sent home? I don't think so. I don't think Tim Gunn thinks so. I'm actually really disappointed. I thought his designs were generally good -- although last night's French -1950s-haute-couture-topiary was really disappointing -- and he was really growing on me as a television presence. I thought that his flavor of over-dramatization was the most pleasant of those being offered. The general madness and the pretentious accent were also pretty amusing.
Topic 3. Who are you rooting for now? I like Daniel and I mostly like his designs, but he's such a cipher. Santino and Kara don't have a collective chance in Hell. Nick's work has gotten less and less exciting and I'm really tired of the bitchiness -- even though I found it appealing initially. That leaves Chloe? I'm OK with that.
I also watched Veronica Mars last night. Comments?

PS I just noticed even the title of this post is a (mild) spoiler. Sorry. Maybe you should have watched the show.
I have come to this show late but must say I completely agreed with Andrae being sent home. The dress was fine in theory but the mossy execution was unacceptable. And who cries on the runway? If that queen Michael Kors makes you cry you deserve to go home. Viva La Nick!
