Hi Jenny --

I think you probably watched The O.C. last night.  What did you think?  Some topics:

1. Wow.  They sure killed Johnny.  That would have been a huge shock, except that A. the promos gave it away and B. he ran out of storyline so long ago that lately, every time the Special Guest Star card rolled, I was thinking, "Ryan DonoWHO?"  I actually was thinking, when everyone was going around declaring love and laying down ultimatums, that Johnny was actually well-suited to Marissa.  It's hard to imagine a pair of kids with less edge than the two of them. 

2. Do you like Willa Holland?  I think she's so good she actually screws things up: she's acting rings around Mischa Barton, even as Kaitlin is thinking rings around Marissa, and these make it hard to remember that Marissa is supposed to be the heroine.

3. Seth?  Pot?  Is this even worth discussing?  Is it working for you or are you just bracing yourself for the inevitable PSA? 

4. That Matt guy is still on the show?  Where is this Sandy subplot going? 

I watched The Office as well.
